LG BP325 review

 Review: January 2014

Rating: 4 stars

In a nutshell: The LG BP325 is a compact Blu-Ray player that includes 3D playback and an ethernet connection. For the money, you probably won't find another player that offers as much.

Design & looks

The LG BP325 is a compact Blu-Ray player. Its styling is simple, with a glossy black finish.

Playback

The player can play 2D and 3D Blu-Ray disks, including BD-R/-RE, as well as DVDs, including DVD+RW/+R. It can also play CDs, including CD-R and CD-RW. When playing DVDs, the player can upscale to full 1080p HD and is also capable of 2D to 3D conversion.

Connectivity

A single HDMI port is used for connecting to a HD-Ready television. Network access is via an ethernet connection, and a USB connection is available too. This lets you access music, photos or videos from a USB drive or device.

LG's Smart TV functionality is available via the ethernet connection.

Conclusion - a top-value Blu-Ray player

The LG BP325 is cheap and compact, yet it includes 3D playback and Smart TV too. For the price, you probably won't find more features in any other Blu-Ray player.
