Samsung RB37J5330SA review
Review: October 2015 | ||
![]() Rating: In a nutshell: The Samsung RB37J5330SA is a premium-quality 60cm fridge freezer that's unusually tall and deep, to maximise storage space. With designer looks, a thoughtful and practical interior layout, solid construction and super-silent running, it's an appliance that we can highly recommend. It comes with a 10-year warranty on its digital inverter compressor. |
Design & features
The Samsung RB5000 fridge-freezer is an unusually tall, 60cm wide appliance, designed to make the very most of the available storage space. As well as being tall, it's deeper than most similar appliances, so check you have room for it before buying. To create even more internal space, it uses Samsung's Space Max technology with an extra-slim wall duct.
The RB37J5330SA is finished in metal graphite, with an exterior control panel display, and it looks and feels like a super high-quality product. It's obvious from handling the appliance that it's been built to last, with a really solid feel and high attention to detail.
Inside, the fridge is huge - much bigger than most rival 60cm wide fridge-freezers. At the base of the fridge section is a salad and veg drawer, and above that is a Fresh Zone, intended to keep meat and fish fresh. Above this are 3 shelves, including a slide-in shelf that can be moved in or out to accommodate taller items. The door section is designed with a full-width bottle shelf and 4 adjustable half-width shelves, plus a full-width compartment at the top. There really is a lot of flexible storage here.
Cold air is blown out on every level of the fridge through vents in order to keep the temperature constant throughout. It's fully frost-free to prevent any build up of ice, and includes features such as LED lighting and a wine rack.
The freezer has 3 compartments and an ice tray.
Efficiency, noise & reliability
The RB37J5330SA is rated A+ for efficiency, which is average for a fridge-freezer, but it uses a little more electricity than many rival appliances due to its extra capacity.
It's an extremely quiet fridge-freezer, thanks to its digital inverter compressor. This also makes it reliable, with a 10-year warranty on the compressor.
Conclusion - a premium product with lots of space
The Samsung RB37J5330SA looks and feels like a premium product. It's well-designed and built to last, and should give you years of trouble-free use. That makes it excellent value for money, despite its high price. In addition, it's considerably larger inside than many 60cm fridge-freezers, and will enhance your kitchen with its designer looks, super-quiet operation and thoughtful design. We highly recommend it.

There's 3 variants ending SA (metal graphite) SL is Titanium and SS
Stainless Steel. There is also a 5330SA variant (ie. RB37J5330SA)
which is metal graphite but with door handles. Otherwise they're all
the same. Hope that helps, Ollie from Suffolk
