Samsung UE37ES6300 review
Review: December 2012 | ||
![]() Last updated June 2013 Rating: In a nutshell: The Samsung UE37ES6300 is a 37-inch mid-range TV with smart looks, Smart TV, Wi-Fi and 3D. Picture quality is fair, but it's not the best at this price, and the screen size is unusual. |
Review
This is the 37 inch version of the Samsung UE40ES6300 we reviewed previously, so read our detailed review of the UE40ES6300 for a full assessment.
37 inches is a good option for a medium-sized lounge or a large bedroom, and the fair pricing and excellent Smart TV functions make this a popular choice. Picture quality isn't the best. However, the 200 Clear Motion Rate is fast enough to eliminate any observable motion artifacts, and the Game Mode makes this a good choice for gamers. It also includes active 3D. Built-in Wi-Fi is another strength, and the inclusion of both Freeview HD and Freesat HD tuners is another bonus.

Great picture and it look nice but smart hub updates far too much with
rubbish I'm not even interested in. Seems to be updating 50% of the
time that I want to use it. I dont feel like im in control of what i
want on the homescreen. There's adverts on there too which I find
annoying. YouTube can sometimes be very jerky and slow. It also
crashes sometimes then switches itself off and on again. I think this
could be a processor issue. I've had the TV almost 3 years now and it
had to have the screen replaced after about 2 years. The picture
started strobing. I'm going to retire this TV to my bedroom and get
another basic TV and set it up with an android TV box which I think
will be much quicker and reliable. It's put me off getting another
Samsung TV.

As the other reviewer said the TV that has everything built in, there is nothing
more that can be added. had a 32 inch but wanted a little bigger 37inch this
is a perfect size for my room. done a lot of research on the internet, done
my list of wants and needs and there it was under £500.

Where did you buy it from for under £500

Bought for a bedroom with freeview connectivity so I wasn't chasing top end
picture quality that other more expensive models may have, however I would suggest
the picture quality is excellent and not something buyers need to be concerned
about.
Cheap to hang on the wall as this has been fitted using a £15 bracket from Amazon
"HD Zone's Ultra Slim TV Wall Mount Bracket - Picture Frame Design". The TV
is a slim design and fits flat to the wall with this bracket, the coaxial arial
lead for freeview could prevent the TV lying flat if a slim right-angled lead
is not used as it is a back facing connection rather than side-on as the HDMI
connections are.
Built-in ITV player, BBC iPlayer, Lovefilm, Youtube and Netflix add nicely to
the features that you may miss when a TV only has a freeview feed. The ability
to stream media from other devices in the house to the TV also another added
bonus.
