I joined TalkTalk in June 2015 after meeting a field saleman in a WH
Smith. I considered getting broadband and phone about five months
prior and I phoned BT and Plusnet. BT wanted £135 to send
someone out to connect the line and Plusnet confused me, going on
about packages. I didn't understand how things worked then so it flew
over my head. Anyway, I was approached by a field salesman on behalf
of TalkTalk and listened to what he had to say. He told me the service
I'd get and that ther would be no connection fee. The line rental was
£16.70 and the Anytime Calls boost was £7.50, it included
calls to UK mobiles so I opted for that. The service was connected a
week later and all worked well until a few months later when my phone
went dead and internet really slow. I rang them and it was repaied in
less than 24 hours and was fine until earlier this year when I kept
getting problems with my internet cutting off and static noises on the
phone. It was Openreach carring out 'improvements' to the network and
finally resolved a few months later. My origional contract with
TalkTalk eneded in December 2016 so I rang them to ask about re-newing
and they offered me the Anytime Calls Boost for a reduced price of
£5 a month and Fast Broadband (16.4mbps) for £18.75 a
month - total of £23.75 a month and for the 18 month duration. I
also got a free mobile sim, giving me 200 minutes, unlimited texts and
500 mb data.
Overall I'm happy with my service and price
though customer services aren't always helpful and easy to understand.
I'd just about advise others to join them.
Hope I've
been helpful:)

I have a phone/fibre high speed broadband (40 meg) contract with talk
Talk (been with them for years) & they have now vastly improved
their customer services. I had a broadband connection problem recently
which turned out to be a fault in the local cabinet, not Talk talks
fault , but they had Openreach out to fix it on the same day for
myself & a neighbour. They are also open to bargaining @I now have
a cheaper package than any of my friends with other suppliers!

Agree on the bargaining point - they reduced my price at the end of my
contract and gave me a free sim card with 200 mins, unlimited texts
and 500 mb data.
They've got their act together
recently.
